Section 97
Not to be employed
(1) No person shall employ as an insurance intermediary or other insurance service provider an organization which has not been licensed or whose license has not been renewed in accordance with this Act.
(2) If an insurer employs an insurance intermediary or other insurance service provider contrary to sub-section (1), the insurer shall bear all the liabilities and consequences arising therefrom.
(3) Any insurance intermediary or other insurance service provider whose license has been revoked shall bear the liability arising from any work related to insurance business done by the insurance intermediary or other insurance service provider during the period of the license.
(4) An insurance intermediary shall not act as a director, executive head, employee or consultant of any insurer.
